Types of cookies we use

Always onRequired for the site to work. They keep you signed in, protect against fraud and cross-site request forgery, remember what's in your booking before you pay, and balance traffic across our servers. The site can't function properly without them, so they can't be switched off.
Functional / preference
OptionalRemember choices you make so the site feels consistent — things like your recently viewed properties, your favorites, whether you last used the list or card view, and dismissed prompts. Disabling these still lets you browse and book; you'll just lose these conveniences.
Analytics / performance
OptionalHelp us understand how people use Smart Stay Rentals — which pages are visited, where errors happen, and how long things take to load — so we can fix problems and improve the experience. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you.
Third-party cookies
Some features rely on trusted third parties that may set their own cookies. Our payment provider, Paystack, uses cookies to process payments securely and to help prevent fraud. Maps on property pages are served by OpenStreetMap. These providers use cookies under their own policies, which we recommend you review.
Managing your cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or remove them, and warn you before one is stored. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the site (such as signing in and booking) from working. Steps differ by browser, so check the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.
